I’ve tried E-editor (the supposed Text Mate on windows). It may be a good product someday, but right now they only have it half right and it’s more trouble than it’s worth.
What does everyone else use? BTW I’m using it mostly for php, javascript, html, and css.
just in case anyone else cares, I’m currently trying out notepad++. With a few plugins it seems to be behaving nicely. I’ll give ultra edit a go too.

I’m used to using Gedit in Linux and Smultron on Mac OS X but have been searching for a text editor (preferable with syntax highlighting and tabs!) that allows editing of files via SSH, so I can edit and test a CMS I’m developing with ease.

I’ve used a combination of Notepad2/Intype with Filezilla, but really need this functionality combined.
