How can I transfer my old files from my broken Mac on to my new Mac?

I had a iMac g5, which recently died due to a logic board and power supply problem, I’m planning on buying a new iMac and I don’t want all my files to be gone forever! Is there a way to get them on to my new Mac? -Reminder: my old computer doesn’t turn on!

   You can remove the Hard drive from the iMac, and buy an external enclosure for $20-$50. It hooks up via USB or Firewire.
