Depends on which programs will you be running. A PC is also cheaper than the Mac. And also, things like games, programs, etc is made for Windows first usually.
Mac’s also don’t usually get viruses as often as a PC would.
if you want to play PC Games, then buy a PC, as most games are made for microsoft, other than that i would go with an imac or linux distro any day.

Imac’s ****. First of all they cant run half of what windows can, and there hardware is much worse than even a Dell. You can not run A GAME on Leopard or W/E. Get a Dell or build it yourself.
i have like 4 macs in my house after trashing all my pcs.
get a mac.
the cheapest iMac is only like $1100 and is loaded with speed, memory and an amazing operating system.
btw
mac’s can also run windows so if you ever run into that rare compatibility problem, you can run windows on your mac and everything is fine. Anyways, everything is going to mac now. The PC era is dying so you’ll do better with the iMac.
if the price is a problem from you, buy the most expensive Mac Mini. Also has great features for such a small device. only a little less then the imac. It just doesn’t have a screen. plug in your old pc one and it’ll work fine

imac = saaaweeetttuummsss!!
Get the new Macbook Air at the Apple Store
Well it depends on your needs, I think the new iMac along with all of Apple’s computers are overprice just a bit. Although they are well built and it will last for years. Now if you use Windows then go with say an HP computer. But if you buy a Mac you’ll probably have an easier better experience compared to a Windows PC.
