What is the difference between a macbook and a macbook pro?

Lesley asked:

I’m looking at Mac computers and I don’t understand the difference between a normal Macbook and a Macbook pro.

The Macbook Pro comes with more memory, a faster processor, and better graphics. Also, the Macbook is made of plastic, and the Macbook Pro is encased in aluminum. Now, if you buy a normal Macbook (which in my opinion does not have enough memory), and upgrade it to the same memory as the Macbook Pro 13″ then it’s going to cost about the same as the Macbook Pro 13″. That’s why I always recommend that those interested in an Apple Laptop get the Macbook Pro 13″ at a minimum. If you can afford it (and don’t mind the larger size), the 15″ and 17″ models are even more powerful with better upgrade options.

Mac Book pro is more powerful and the better choice. The Mac Book is more for someone who just wants a Mac but won’t really make full use of its brilliant functions.

Also, the New Mac Book Pro got released today….they are now even more powerful than before and come with higher specs as standard
